Have you reached out to your tax advisor about this?  In Sage 300 CRE Payroll we provided the MAPFL and MAPFL_E taxes with the tax updates based on the requiements outlined by the state of MA. These taxes would still need to be added to the MA Tax group in Payroll in order to calculate automatically. Hi, Thanks for the feedback.  We have reached out to our accountants.  They think the contribution should be taxed and therefore should be setup as a post tax deduction instead of a tax. 

Whether it is setup as a Tax or a Post-Tax Deduction does not effect the taxability of the base pay you are calculating against.  I have setup this as a Tax for my customers and the calculations are correct based on the submittals to the government.

If its an employee tax, then it should have the same net effect on both the paycheck and the GL.
