Invoice Scanning

We are looking into an invoice scanning program.  Has anyone used the scanning program offered by Sage and do you honestly feel that it cuts down on the time it would normally take to enter everything manually.   Would you recommend it or does anyone recommond a different program?

    We tried TimberScan for about 3 months.  We found that it was actually taking us longer, and since most invoices are scanned in  the recognition feature did not work well at all.   When entering an invoice to a job  you cannot add cost codes to the job on the fly either which created a lot of issues for us.  Since we are a mid-size paving operation only - we do not have the need for an invoice approval process either.  If you need the approval process - then it may be beneficial.  For us though  it was not beneficial at all.

    We have been using Timberscan for around 10 years now and are very happy with it. We find the approval/routing process is what saves us the most time. No more lost invoices sitting on other people's desks waiting for them to code/approve. Also, the ability to pull up copies of invoices, check copies, and approval notes saves us a lot of time.

    We use Sage Paperless for about 3 years, works great for us. We also access supplier executed lien waivers.  We don't use the invoice approval feature.

    We use Sage Paperless. It has definitely allowed us to transition to more of a paperless environment. Support with the program has been great, and they have been working with us to implement enhancements.

    We have been using TimberScan for 6 months.  I absolutely love it.  It is quick to enter invoices, and find where they are at in the approval process.  Not having to pull back up to review checks and reviewing electronically saves so many hours.  Time is saved by easily providing a copy of a check on payment requests.  It has been an absolute godsend.

  • Good afternoon Steve - what can you tell me about the implementation process for SAGE PAPERLESS?  How long did it take?  Did you require 3rd party consultants?  What recommendations do you have for a company that would like to implement?
