Why should I consider etakeoff over Stack

I own a small construction company (less that 12 employees). I am using Sage Estimating Version 17.13 for estimating.  Size of the projects range from $200,000 to $2,000,000.   Currently, we do all take-offs by hand. I would like to start using digital estimating software like etakeoff, but I am not sure how to get started or what product to use?  Why should we consider Sage etakeoff over a product like Stack?  Any advice?

  • I would recommend eTakeoff for Sage Estimating as the integration is tremendouse. You can try the takeoff portion for 15 days free by going to www.etakeoff.com and click "Free Trial".

Aside from the obvious benefits of integration you will also be able to have multiple people working in the same project, doing takeoff at the same time.

They also recently released their SnapAI functionality that allows takeoff points to "snap" automatically to lines and points in vectored drawings.

The last point would be that eTakeoff is sold and supported by your Sage Business Partner and is also included in your annual Sage Support Plan so they can assist you as well.

Oh, I would be remiss to not mention Extensions...if you are using Assemblies in Estimating, Extensions are the equivalent in eTakeoff and provide the most seamless way to complete assembly interviews.

I would also recommend updating your current version of Estimating to the current 20.1 version so you can leverage the latest features in Factors and Productions.
