Closed Bank Accounts and how to remove them?

Is there a way to "close" a bank account so it doesn't show up on reports? We have a few accounts that have been closed in the last year and they keep showing up on reports. I also have the conversion bank account that I would like to get rid of if I can. I would appreciate any input on this.

Some users like to add a custom checkbox field on the bank account record so that bank accounts can be excluded from reports and inquiries when the field is marked. Favorite reports and inquiries can be modified to use this field.
