Worker Comp Calc

When runnng my Sage WC summary and detail reports for March the gross wages calc differently on the report then the WC website and when i check i get the same as the website? Sage is wrong, anyone else have thisproblem??/

  • We are not having this problem.  However, in our state, we do not report Gross Wages to or WC website.   We report the WC Basis wages aka insurable wages.  State rules may vary so you would have to check with your agent to understand the rules for your state.  For example:  In our state we report wages that are all hours at the straight time rate.  So a hourly employee at a wage of $10.00 per hour who works 45 hours is paid $10 x 40 hours plus $15 x 5 hours for a total of $475 Gross Wages.  However we report $10 x 45 hours for a total of $450 WC Basis wages to our WC website.  (WC Fringe is setup to a calculation method of Straight Pay.)  Furthermore, some states exclude vacation pay from the WC Basis.  All of these calculations are handled within the Setup-Fringe-WC, through Setup-Employee-Fringe, and through Setup-Pays.  Once you're certain Sage isn't working correctly, you would need to check all Setups, and perhaps run the PR-Reports-Setup-Employee Fringe to look for discrepancies on your employees.  You can also use Knowledgebase and search Fringe Setup for help with your settings.
