Thank you for the reminder - but I believe it's something you do manually, or at least that is what I am being told by Payroll.

• alifornia State Disability Insurance (CASDI) Effective date: January 1, 2020. The withholding rate will change to 1.2%. The taxable wage limit increased to $128,298.00. This change was not included in the initial 2021 tax update but will be included in an upcoming tax update.

Thanks!  Unfortunately we have already run two payrolls with the old rate - any ideas on how to correct would be greatly appreciated.  With over a hundred employees overriding will be painful.

From my experince If you change the cap and rate in the CASDI tax setup the system should pick up additional tax on the next payroll.  If by chance someone was paid only in the first or second payroll you ran then their tax will be wrong for the year.

You are reffing to taxes the self-adjust. The only taxes we provide that do this are the FICA taxes, SOC, MED (employer and employee), and MEDADDL.

For CASDI, if you have already posted payroll using the old rate, you can manually add the difference to the next check after processing the check and going into Tasks, Enter Checks prior to printing checks or generating direct deposits.

Fewer people would have this issue if SAGE got the tax update out!

The CASDI changes are included in the upcoming tax update 21.02. 

PLEASE remember to check all of your EMPLOYER state unemployment rates, as we do not provide the new rates and limits for those because the rate varies for each employer.

You can write a formula to make any tax, self adjusting.  Search the knowledgebase for "Self Adjusting Tax".  It would be easier to write the formula once than calculating and adjusting all the checks manually.
