Upgrade to v20.x

SOLVED

I am trying to get ready for this end of the year update/upgrade that I'm being forced to install.

We currently are running v18 off a peer to peer network where we have a dedicated Windows 10 machine as our "server".  This is and has been working even though everything i read says that it should be a true "server" software.

My question....am i safe to run v20 this same way?

Thank you in advance

If you have been running 18.4 that way you shouldn't have any problem with 20.2. I sized my new server VM exactly to what 18.4 was, as there didn't seem to be any fixable issues with more RAM or CPU. I've had no indication that this has caused any issues.

It's not ideal, but as long as you have a UPS and a good solid backup plan in place, you should be "good enough".

How are you getting past the ten connection limit in Windows 10? Do you have ten or fewer users? What software are you using for backups? Have you tested restores?

    Thank you Brian.

We get past the 10 connection limit because there are usually no more than 3 people hitting the software at the same time.  To be honest, it's normally only 1 person inputting info.
