Transmittal with Submittals and Submittal Attachments

I am trying to streamline our process for creating submittal packages. Currently we create all of the submittals then create a transmittal and add the submittal items (including their attachments.) Whether I "Send" or "Print" only the Transmittal and Submittal items are priniting - the attachments do now.

In researching before posting here I am aware of the "Include attachments with documents when sending" and "Include document attachments on transmittals" settings in Project Management->PJ Settings. Both are checked.

I am also certain that I have the checkbox for print selected in the items grid in the transmittal.

Why won't my attachments print or send?

    Hi dfingiss,

One thing you can try is to go back into your PJ Settings and turn off the Include Attachments options, close out of the settings, then go back in and turn them on again.

If that doesn't work, Check the Background Tasks and the Log Viewer for any errors when sending.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Jesse. After several interactions with Sage support (who never seem to know how their own software operates or is expected to operate) we have determined that this functionality MAY have worked in v16 (we recall being able to do this prior to upgrading) but no longer works in v18. Printing or using the Send feature and sending to Printer always excludes the attachments, even if the proper settings are in place in PJ Settings and the box in the Transmittal grid to print is checked.

I have found I can use the Send feature and send to my e-mail and then use an Outlook plug-in to create a consolidated PDF, in the correct order, from the e-mail and attachments. After the PDF is created I just need to remove the e-mail page and move the transmittal items to the top of the PDF. This is much easier than having to find all my original PDFs I already attached in Sage and try to drag/drop them in the correct place from the PDF of only cover sheets Sage creates.
