Database Schema for Sage 300 CRE?

SUGGESTED
Posted By FormerMember

Does anyone have any comprehensive form of databse schema or detailed data dictionary for Sage 300 CRE when trying to access using ODBC? I have been trying to find one for some time that details the table locations of data fields and have found Sage documentation woefully inadequate. I am at the point where it seems the only option is to create one myself..

From the Report Designer application select Tools, Available Fields and make whichever selections you would like within the Records Available and click OK.  Then select the checkbox to Include information for ODBC reporting.  This will tell you whether or not the table is ODBC creatable and provide a complete listing of the available fields within the selected records, the field names and whether they are ODBC replaceable.  This is the best method to view your data dictionary and includes any customizations you have done to the database in terms of Custom Descriptions, sections, and field sizes.

If you have access to the Report Designer application within Sage 300 CRE, go to the menu bar and click Tools > Available Fields. You can select from any or all of the available data tables and print the data dictionary. Select the check box on the print hub to "Include information for ODBC reporting" to display the ODBC field name on the report.
