Is your Aatrix tax forms update not completing or presenting an error?

The Aatrix automatic updates this year-end may take longer to complete, please allow time for them to finish. For 2017 year end (W2, 1099 & 1095 (ACA)) filings, Aatrix now requires 3 different Microsoft redistributables.  These files will be installed during automatic updates if they are not already installed. These required Microsoft C++ Redistributable files are:

  • 2012 update 4
  • 2013 update 5
  • 2017

If the Aatrix automatic update is unable to install these Microsoft files, you may receive an error message during the update or when opening a form.  Please work with you IT professional to get the Microsoft redistributables installed.

If you have canceled the Aatrix automatic update, you will need to download the update manually and then run the update again.  To download the update manually, please go to KB article 18594.

  • Hi Terry

I have an IT guy asking about these redistributable files and where they can be found via Microsoft?  Or are they only available from Aatrix?

    What does “2012 update 5, 2013 update 4, 2017” mean?

Are these SQL updates or Microsoft patches?

What are the Microsoft knowledge base articles or download links?

Are these installed on the sage sql server or the end users desktop?

  • I have same questions as Char does. Any help would be appreciated. THanks

Hi Char - more information about the files can be found on Microsoft's website. As for where to install, the update is run on the machine that is used to run Aatrix reports. We had reports of customer's seeing the error "unable to load vendor . . ." that is in KB 18594. Aatrix explained that the error is because the Aatrix update is cancelled too soon, and provided the information in the above post. Hope that helps!
