Proposals with descriptions?

I'm new to Sage 100.  I created a takeoff and converted to a proposal to present to client but since the costs can only transfer by cost codes or bid items, the proposal does not show a description for each line item.  For example, 1 cost code can be made up from 3 separate parts, but just the total cost for the 3 parts will transfer to proposal.  Looking for suggestions on how people work around this and present a proposal with each individual part of the same cost code description displayed?

    Clients that want a detailed proposal will probably want a report that is a customization of one of the Takeoff Worksheets, 9-5-0-21 thru 9-5-0-47. The customization will involve suppressing your cost data and deciding on groupings and subtotals. Further customizations might include a report form that includes your logo and other polishings, terms and conditions boiler plate, a space for acceptance of the proposal, etc. There's a lot that can be done to make a proposal work for your needs. Seek help from you friendly local certified consultant or look in Sage University for classes on report writing and form design.
