Poor Sage 100 Contractor Performance

We are currently fighting a weird issue with a customers installation. We are running Sage 100 Contractor and when users use the print preview function when generating reports Sage will hang for a good 1-5 minutes depending on the report. After the preview is generated the same type of delay can happen when printing to local printers. Server specs are below:

OS: Windows Server 2019 Essentials

Processor: Xeon E-2278G

Ram: 32 (16 dedicated to SQL whilst troubleshooting)

Storage: 10k SAS Drives in a Raid 0 config (again for troubleshooting)

Sage: Sage 100 Contractor 2022 with Database version 24.3.1.0003

I have been looking around the internet to no real avail in addition to contacting Sage support and after a year we are still having issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is the answer to your problem but I know we have a similar issue with Sage 300 CRE and it's because we haven't archived old data for a while. It took me over an hour to generate a 941 tax report just last week. AR reports are also generally run overnight because they take so long. Good luck!

I have more questions (which may provide some direction/help):

    1. Are you using SQL Express or Standard?
    2. What version of SQL are you using?
    3. Have you looked at the SQL Server Memory Allocation Status and Recent PLE (in Sage 100 Contractor Database Administration under Toolbox > Dashboard) and what do you find there?
    4. How many SQL Instances do you have on this machine?
    5. As ALICIADH suggests, have you archived data and if so, when was the last archive?
