Hi Elaine. Can you verify that you are using Sage 100 Contractor? If so, when you say are placing shortcuts to Excel workbooks on the dashboard, are referring to adding them to the program desktop under the tabs (Home & Resources, Clients & Services, Vendors & Purchasing, etc)?
Yes, Sage 100 Contractor. I began using Liberty Reports & created custom billing workbooks in Excel. I enter the Progress Billing, then use Liberty Reports to pull the information into the Excel workbook. I have put the Excel workbooks on my dashboard & the day that I do it the Excel icon is there; however, the next day it is gone. It isn't necessary, I can still open the workbook because the text is there. I was just wondering how I could get the icon to stay there as well.
Ok, I see what you are saying. The Excel icon is gone but the name of the file is still there and the shortcut still works. I was able to reproduce this as well, but only with Excel files. We will look into this as this could be an issue with the shortcuts. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
