Database error

How did you get this resolved? I just purchased and received the download link. Setup users and database. First time I login it says must upgrade database. I go to upgrade database. In SQL I get an error and it won’t upgrade. In windows it just runs forever and will not upgrade. Totally NOT a good way to start my Sage 100 contractor experience.

    Hello Lora, 

    Are you attempting to update the database from the Database Administrator on the machine you use to host the database? It's kinda tricky in that you have to login to the Database Administrator using a SQL UserID (Not the Windows one). Like the one you normally use to access Sage. The User has to have Administrator access and all users need to be out of the database. 

    Once in Database Administrator, there is a menu on the left to upgrade databases. Click on that option then be sure the database you want to upgrade is check marked in the list on the right. Then Click upgrade. This should only take a few minutes. 

    If you encounter issues attempting this, I would contact Sage support. If you are a new Sage 100 Contractor user, you should have set-up support available.
