Export Component List

I am trying to export the component list for parts within Business Works.  There is no way to do this through the program, but was told you can do this through a query in excel.  Does anyone have experience with this?  Can someone provide steps to query a data base to get component lists exported?

    You are correct, there is no option in the program to export the component list for parts.  There is a Knowledge Base article regarding this issue

    Unable to export part components or subassemblies

    Although not in excel format, in IC,Part there are 2 reports for subassemblies and components:  Subassembly Component List and the Component Use Report

    Otherwise, you can work with a Business Partner to assist you with working with MS Excel to query the information you are looking to export from the program.  If you are not already working with a Business Partner, you can contact customer service or go to Help, Live Chat within the program and the support analyst can recommend one for you.
