SageBW 2015 repair Pervasive

Hello All!

I am trying to repair Pervasive and finding that the .MSI file is missing. 

I've read that Pervasive is now called Actian? Is that correct? 

Question is how do i search for PervasivePSQLv10Server_x86.msi? 

Am i searching for Actian now? Can someone point me in the right direction please? 

Next question. How do i repair the System DB? When backing it up, its running very slow, as well as general slowness overall in the SageBW app. 

Next question; Is the 2015 Sage application also called Sage 50?

    It sounds like you may have a lot going on with your Sage program - more than we may be able to cover in this forum.  But I will do my best to get you pointed in the right direction. 

    First, the current version is V2021 sp 14, which uses a V10 Pervasive that comes with the Sage BusinessWorks program.  V2015 is an old version that is technically not supported and has not been supported for several years now.  However, if you are on a current support plan, you can upgrade straight from V2015 to the current version.

    Since you mentioned Actian, in our next version V2023 set to come out later this month, we will use the Actian Zen 15 version instead of Pervasive 10.

    There is not a repair tool for the Pervasive version that Sage BusinessWorks uses.  If you are having a Pervasive issue, the best option is to uninstall Pervasive through the Windows  Add/Remove programs.   Once Pervasive is uninstalled, then reinstall Sage BusinessWorks.  When you reinstall Sage BusinessWorks, it will see Pervasive is not installed and want to install it.  If this is a client workstation you can just rerun the client install.  If this is a stand alone or the server, you would reinstall BusinessWorks using the Install Files for the version you are using.  When you reinstall using the Install Files, it will bring your version back to the base version (without service packs).  Therefore, you would need to also reinstall the latest service pack for your version. 

    The only downloads available on the Sage website is for the current supported versions and service packs, V2021 and V2020.  They are available at www.sagekb.com .  If you have an active support plan you can use the Login to get to the downloads.  If you need to re-install V2015 you would need to use your own downloads you saved from when you originally downloaded that version.  Otherwise, you can upgrade to the current version.

    Sage 50 is not the same as Sage BusinessWorks.  It is a separate Sage program.
