Depending on which Sales Analysis report you are using, you may get different results.  For example, the Sales Analysis Report by Customer, gives the total of invoices regardless of any adjustments.  For reconciling your sales to your income statement, I would recommend running the Sales Analysis report by Sales Account.

If you have additional questions on your reports and their balances, I would compare the reports and find the specific line item causing the difference.  Then if you need further assistance, you can work with a support analysis to discuss your concerns with the item and how it displays on your reports.
