BW 21 - SP8 - IC Module - Adding Multiple Bin/Locations

Hey Everyone,

Rather new to Sage here, but trying to determine if there is a way to setup multiple Bin/Location fields in BW SP8. I reached out to Live Chat, they setup a call later since they couldn't figure it out. I am trying to have 2 or 3 Bin/Locations.

One as the Primary(Main), Secondary, and Overflow. The reason I ask is we have stock, that does not all fit in the same place depending on levels, and it would be nice to have the other locations noted as well.

    We were in your situation in 2012. needed to keep track of pallets of goods on racking  And ended up using Excel sheets to maintain the location data.

    PART Number  |   total QTY  |  BAY |  LOCATION | CASES or BOXES :  |  DATE 

    We had 126 pallet locations in 30 bays divided into up to 12 locations

    We only had 3 people picking from the stock shelves and 2 from the over flow.  We kept the records on paper at the forklift and then made changes to the shared Excel sheet. ASAP

    Every month, I would do a quick inventory of locations to make sure we were keeping good records.  Especially when I returned from time off.  There was always a misplaced pallet or used in the stock, but the system seemed to work for our size . Less then 20,000sq ft

    Yeah, we have 3 warehouses in just our location, so that just seems super cumbersome and time consuming. Hoping that we can add multiples, but Excel was my fall back in the long run. Separate tabs for each warehouse. The good news, in 5-6 years we are combining all three of these smaller warehouses into 1 large warehouse once construction is completed, but that's the future, and not current.

    Turns out - Multiple Bin Locations is still not an option. Unfortunate.
