When I try to reprint an invoice created in Order Entry, I get an error saying that an internal module cannot be found on the file system and it points to \SAGE\BWPROG\TASKS\TASK6015.E

SOLVED

This just started to happen, when I try to reprint an invoice created in Order Entry, direct invoicing in Businessworks 2021 SP4 I get an error saying that an internal module cannot be found on the file system and it points to \SAGE\BWPROG\TASKS\TASK6015.EXE   When I check on the server under tasks, that task is not listed   Any suggestions as to where to find the missing task?

    Starlight-

To confirm, task6015.exe - is the task used to reprint the Order Entry Invoice.  If you are missing task6015.exe (or any task) from your program folder (for example,  ...\Sage\BWProg\Tasks), then I would have you reinstall the V2021 program at the server to get that task replace.  After reinstalling V2021 you will also need to reinstall SP 4.  For more information on the error your are receiving and instructions for reinstalling the program, you can go to our Knowledge Base at www.sagekb.com and search on article #72115 - Error: "Internal Module cannot be found" or "Task does not exist" (72115).  Note: I also wanted to be sure this was not an issue with SP 4.  I have install SP 4 for V2021, and I am able to successfully use the reprint option without errors, so it does not appear to be anything specific with SP 4.

    Coleen,

Thanks, yes that  helped, we printed out a few back invoices I needed to print then computer locked up again and had to shut down the workstation, the same issue reappeared.  Reloaded BW2021 and SP4 and now it seems to be working again.  This issue showed up this morning and we installed SP4 hoping it would fix it, so no it is not connected to SP4,

We have had more glitches since they did the previous update and the hotfix than we have ever had and have been using Business Works since about 2000.

    Walter-

I am glad reinstalling resolved your issue.  The issue you are reporting here is not an issue specific to v2021.  In most cases, this relates with anti-virus or malware software removing the task/executable.  V2021 was a big update and there were some reported issues along the way that we have resolved in service packs.  Please continue to report any  issues you may be experiencing with V2021 or feel free to search our Knowledge Base (www.sagekb.com) for any reported issues and/or work arounds as well.

    Sincerely,

    Coleen
