Windows Update File Problems

We just went through the latest Windows 10 (forced) update.  We run Businessworks 2017.  We are now getting intermittent file errors--failure of DFInitialize function; [Pervasive{{CQBC Client Interface{,{Client LNA} not available protocol for the Pervasive Network Services Layer; and the Directory Name is Invalid, among others.  We are now unable to back up our database--message: an error has occurred in the backup/restore archive while adding to the archive . . .error: cannot open file . . . the backup/restore operation will be canceled.  Can anyone tell us why we are getting these errors and how to fix them?  Our IT vendor hasn't been able to fix the problem and Sage Support doesn't seem to have a fix.  Thanks!
