Many companies accrue vacation and/or sick time based on the employee's anniversary date. We have used support article ID #10909 as a work around, but have to track vacation accrued and used manually because the work around does not always calculate balances correctly. It would be a huge time saver if this suggestion could be implemented. Unfortunately, I see this suggestion has been sitting here since 2013.
We just added the vacation feature but we turned it into a PTO plan instead. Our allowance is based on tenure with the company. A system that allows for anniversary dates and milestone calculations would be very beneficial and less time consuming than current procedures.
It would be great if tracking by anniversary included the ability to set up a table of vacation/sick accrual rates so that when someone reaches a milestone anniversary they would automatically start accruing…
We also use the employee's anniversary date for vacation. If Sage did allow this as an option in Employee Defaults I'm sure there are numerous companies using Sage who would appreciate it.
