Hi BKKPR , can you describe what is happening when you try to open Sage 50US? Do you get an error message or do you see any screen begins to open, then close? Did you get an error last time you were in the program?

Thank you for following up.  Issue is resolved; our IT person reset db on server.  I had crashed it.  This is what happened:  I did not find the End of Year Wizard under Reports.  I knew opportunities to launch it popped up when I opened the software but I had closed and opened software a number of times in proofing balances, etc. and knew it could be launched from within the software, but I did not find it under Reports.  It was late and I was tired.  So I went to the Change Period section of the software, thinking that if I clicked on the last open period, the error trapping in the software would pop up an error message stating "You must close down a year before proceeding" and give me a link to the End of Year Wizard.

Instead, nothing happened and I decided I was going to have to close down the software and reopen it again, to be presented with the "You are at the end of a Fiscal Year, do you want to run the End of Year Wizard?"  prompt.   Only the database would not launch again for me.  Since I crashed it, trying to close down my last open period.

All is well now though.  Year has been closed, new period opened.
