.NET error 1026 and error 1000

SUGGESTED

Hello,

We are seeing consistent crashes with Sage 50 using Remote Data Access on our user's machines. Doesn't matter if they are running Windows 10 or 11, although systems running Windows 11 are crashing more often. These happen regardless of whether or not user's are working actively. Some crashes occur after 10 minutes or two hours of the program opening. Crashes occur without warning or error messages. In most cases, user's can get right back in to the program and start working again, until another crash; etc., etc.

Each crash gives two errors in the event log, .NET error 1026 with peachw.exe and error 1000, also with peachw.exe. I have run sfc/scannow and the .NET fix without success.

This problem seems to be caused from Remote Data Access as I had an old company open (without RDA) open overnight without issue.

I have been through three levels of support with Sage and they have been unable to address the problem successfully.

Anyone else have this issue that they have been able to solve?

We have not been able to resolve but also have constant Sage crashes due to corrupt files, etc.  We also run into constant issues with not being able to save transactions due to another user accessing same files, but other user is not doing any transactions, merely has Sage open.   Having to constantly re-base or try to fix issues or re-store a back up and re-do  a week's worth of work has greatly impacted our productivity.  It does seem to be an issue with Remote Data Access as in a previous company where we used Sage 50 without RDA we did not have these constant technical issues.

It appears that Sage support has given up on my issue. After speaking with three different technicians, their remaining thought is to abandon RDA and go client/server with Remote Desktop Connection to a server serving as the only host of our company data...

Yes, RDA does seem to be the root cause. I opened a company from 2019 (before we used Sage Drive or RDA) and the program ran without crashing overnight.

I've been encountering persistent crashes with Sage 50 when using Remote Data Access, and I'm seeking assistance from the community. These crashes seem to occur irrespective of the operating system, whether it's Windows 10 or the newer Windows 11 (although the crashes are more frequent on Windows 11). Importantly, these crashes occur even when users are not actively working within the program. Some crashes happen after a few minutes, while others take a couple of hours to manifest. The crashes are sudden and do not display any warning or error messages. Fortunately, users can quickly reopen the program and resume their work until the next crash occurs, creating a frustrating cycle.

Yep, that's our situation in a nutshell.

I understand that RDA can be problematic.  That is why I suggest an alternative hosting source.
