You could cut and paste to create a new invoice, but I would create yet another invoice as an index invoice referencing the old invoices below to show phases or progress billing.  Just make sure you remove the totals on the supplemental invoices.  The old ones can be pages 2-14.

Thank you for the answer.  I was hoping there was a select all option instead of copying and pasting each individual line item.  Is that a possibility? I think I could enter the details manually faster than going back and forth between invoices.  Does that make sense?

Send them a statement of open items from the forms section af a/r.

Attach the open invoices as detail.

You can use the Export Sales Journal function under File/Export. When you export use the invoice number filter by the 1st invoice number and Filter TYPE is equal to Sale, and under the options tab choose include headings, it is saved to Documents Sales, or you can save to any location you want.  Export the 2nd invoice in the exact same manner however under the Option Tab, do not choose to include headings and choose to append without asking. This will add each export to the same Sale document as a CSV file. Export all of your invoices this way. using the invoice number filter.

You would have to make a few changes to the sale.csv before you could import it as 1 invoice.

You could send them a statement and check to option print detail for sales/credit memos. That way the statement would include the line item detail of all the invoices.

The statement is an "invoice" if they post/pay it...unreasonable client...

.another option is to print all of the invoices to a PDF and cut/paste from the pdf from there back into the "single invoice"

yet another is to set up a generic/text printer and print to that for cutting/pasting
