I tried this with no success. Also tried creating a clean database folder and now the windows are formatted different.

I see!  Are only custom reports freezing or are standard reports affected as well?

Looks like only custom reports, also does not happen to every custom report.

In that case the next step would be to re-customize one of the freezing reports from a working standard report.  If the re-customized report doesn't freeze, you can then do this with the remaining freezing reports as well.
