Locked out of a company

Question

We are still running Peachtree 2011 and have two companies created. Our power went out the other day and the computer died and now I can't log into the company that was open at the time. It keeps telling me another user has the company open and I must log them out first. However if I open the other company logged in as Administrator and look at logged in users for all companies it only shows Administrator. I tried "Log out all" but it still doesn't work. This is the only computer that Peachtree is on so it's definitely not open on another computer. 
 If this isn't the right forum to ask about this could someone please point me to where I might find help? We desperately need to get into this company. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking to upgrade to a NEW Traditional program(Not Subscription), we are one of the VERY few resellers still selling them. I would suggest upgrading ASAP before your program stops working completely.

I would recommend stopping Pervasive on the computer that hosts your data, then starting it again. Pervasive is the database engine that Sage 50 or Peachtree runs on, and restarting it this way should resolve most problems when a user or file gets stuck in the system.

While the Pervasive database engine has had its name changed to Actian Zen in current versions, the steps in this article should still allow you to restart it in the 2011 version: https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=10281

If that doesn't work, you might need to get the exact text of the error message the company is giving you regarding another user having it open. However, in general, just restarting Pervasive should be enough to fix this issue.
