I searched Sage City and typed in Vendor DAT file error, or something to that effect and read some post from a lady named Kim Clement and saw her phone number listed and that they specialize in rebuilding these damaged Vendor DAT files for Sage 50 US Accounting... so I called, thinking it a waste of time.  that next day, she called me back after I sent her my damaged files and was able to rebuild with an old .ptb file from a year ago and completely fix all the damaged DAT files that were at this point not even appearing when trying to pull up old orders to receive, etc.  She completely saved me.

Sage should have referred me to her, but instead they just said sorry and good luck.
