1099-NEC FORMS

SOLVED

For the Tax Year 2020, the 1099-NEC Form is available for purchase in 3 different formats - 2 forms per page preprinted (IRS website and others, including Sage Checks and Forms), 3 forms per page on blank perforated forms (Deluxe and others), and 4 forms per page on blank perforated forms (Sage Checks and Forms). If the 1099-NEC Form is NOT an available form in Aatrix, in Sage 50, for us to "test out" prior to the Year End Tax Update that will release in December 2020, how do we know which form a client should purchase/use? I understand that for those clients who do not subscribe to the Payroll Tax Service that they will need to modify the existing 1099-MISC Form in Sage 50 to fit a 2 to a page format for the 1099-NEC Form; those would print on preprinted, 2 to a page form. It's the clients that do subscribe to the Payroll Tax Service that I'm concerned with - with this being mid-November, and Tax Season quickly approaching, I find it concerning that there hasn't been any information about this shared within the Community, or through Consultant Channels, that would give us insight on this VERY IMPORTANT Tax Reporting change for 2020. Can anyone at Sage provide an answer to this question? Also - to clarify something that another Certified Consultant posted previously - if you do not subscribe to the Payroll Tax Service, but you need to print 1099 Forms for your Independent Contractors, you MUST still print the 1099-NEC Forms for those Independent Contractors (you cannot use the old 1099-MISC Forms). You will need to modify the 1099-MISC Format within Sage 50 to print onto the 1099-NEC Forms, in the proper boxes.
