Sage 50 US: Announcing the October 2021 Tax Update for Release 2021 and 2022

What's New

Withholding and Catchup Adjustments

The October 2021 Payroll Tax Update addresses several changes to the calculations for withholding that have been made over the past several months. You may want to adjust the calculated amounts in one or more payroll run(s) for the remainder of 2021, in order to balance the liabilities owed to the State and/or Local tax authority or give the over-withheld portions back to the impacted employees, if the liability decreased.

For more information and guidance on how to perform these adjustments with certain procedures, please refer to Sage Knowledgebase article: Withholding and Catchup Adjustments – October 2021 Tax Update.
