Download and install this update

Important: If you use third-party products that integrate with Sage 50, check with the vendor of your third-party product to ensure their product is fully compatible with this release. If you integrate with other Sage products, check with your Certified Consultant or Sage to ensure that these components are compatible.

This update will be sent to you automatically through your product. If you would like to download and install before the update is sent to you:

  1. Select Services > Check for Updates > Check Now
  2. If multiple updates appear, select the update(s) you want to install, then select Download
  3. Once the download has been completed, exit Sage 50 and the update will begin

Tip: If you have Sage 50 installed on more than one computer, you will need to download and install on the server first.

  • I set up a new employee, utilizing the new W-4, and the federal withholding is returning zero.  Plus, I received an error message referencing "FIT 19".  How can this be resolved?

    I checked in with our Sage Support team regarding your comment/question above. Please see their response below: 

    Depending on the pay frequency, pay amount, and exemption amounts (Line 3/ Line 4a / Line 4b) the amount of income may not be sufficient to charge any federal taxes when using the new W4 filing status.

    The error message referencing “FIT 19” can be indicative of several possible issues; however, the most common is that the date of the check is sometime in 2019.  To avoid this please make sure the date on the payroll entry check screen is changed to a 2020 date prior to selecting the employee id from the dropdown.

  • When we can send the payroll stub to employee's email?
    Actually we can send the invoice by email to Customers, the PO's to vendors.
    Why this feature is not yet in Payroll?

  • Hello moivargas, 

    This is currently not an option due to some limitations around privacy and encryption concerns (not to mention local laws in some areas that prohibit emailing payroll info).  I would suggest you submit this as an enhancement request on the Sage 50 US Ideation page on Sage City. 

  • Our business solved this issue by uploading the payroll stubs to our employee portal system in pdf format.  That is probably the only legal way you can do it.
