Office 365 Sync - Access Error, Buggy Integration

When synchronizing Office 365 with Sage 50c, it goes through the motions and eventually says that the sync is complete, but then I get an error message saying another user or application is processing data in Sage 50. I will attach a screenshot below. Does anyone know how to follow up on this error?

Also, is this related to Sage Contact's Outlook add-in? Because it does not seem to work in the Outlook desktop client and only intermittently when I log into Office 365 Outlook via the web.

The integration with Office 365 seems very buggy and temperamental, sometimes working and sometimes not. Does anyone have experience with the integration working as it was promised to work, without running into constant issues?
