Explanation of differences between MaterReqPer and MatReqPc?

Posted By FormerMember

We use Sage and write software that integrates our book information system with Sage for inventory and finance functionality. The information in Sage about Mat Req Pc is clear, but I can't seem to find information about MaterReqPer and how it relates (and is different from) MatReqPc? Both fields are in the tmfRoutDetl_HAI table.

Could someone shed some light on these fields?

Thanks, immensely, in advance,

Sol

MaterReqPer is the number of units created for the material step in the routing. For instance, if your material step is a box, and you need 4 cardboard pieces to make 1 box, your MatReqPC = 4 and the MaterReqPer = 1

It might be clearer if you go to the Detail tab of a Routing or existing work order.. Select any material step and look at the Mat Req Pc line.

In the example above, let's say the routing is for a monitor.

The material step within the routing might be called Plastic Cover. The material item required, found on the detail tab of the routing, is "1 x1" Plastic Part"

You need 2 pieces of 1 x 1 Plastic to produce 1 plastic cover.

    Hope this helps.
