1099 TY 2020 Stand-Alone Updates.

This tax year's 1099 TY 2020 Stand-Alone updates will come with a minimum Product Update level varying by version:

  • Sage 500 ERP 2017 will require, at minimum, the January 2019 (7.80.5 or later) to install this year's stand-alone update.
  • Sage 500 ERP 2018 will require, at a minimum, the January 2019 (7.90.2) or later) to install this year's stand-alone update
  • Sage 500 ERP 2019 can use the stand-alone update on any version, including the GA release (8.00) because the TY 2018 changes were already included in the release.
  • Sage 500 ERP 2021, to be release in the coming months and not yet available, will have TY 2020 built into it when it releases.

This is due to the need for the stand-alone update's need to be at the TY 2018 data state for the update to be applied.  Unlike regular Product Updates, 1099 stand-alone updates are NOT cumulative.  These requirements follow the same requirements as they have in the past, adjusted against the last TY change.  TY 2018 had changes, while TY 2019 did not.  If you cannot meet these minimums, contact your partner with source-code capability as they may be able to work-around the issues.
