Work Orders

SOLVED

Hi Team,

I would like to understand the difference and impact between using a *** (Work Order Planned) and a WOF with status 'Planned'.

Thanks

You need to be more specific as to which functionality you are using, including your version and other relevant information.

Your terminology is not used within Sage 500. The closest match is MRP where you can firm a planned order and generate it into an actual order. This can apply to different types of orders in the system depending on the inventory item's fulfillment method. In the MRP planning interface, the designation of a firm order allows you to filter out unfirmed orders and proceed in creating actual orders. That process is also explained in online help. Planned orders primarily affect MRP and Inventory Replenishment demand calculations until they are created into actual orders or removed from planning.
