Is there any way to create a pick list from a Sales Order when a customer is on Credit Hold?

SUGGESTED

We would like to be able to create a pick list even when a customer is on Credit Hold - I know the system prevents this from happening but I am looking for a work around.

    hello there,

There are 3 types of On Hold (1-Customer is On Hold; 2-SO Header is on Hold; 3-SO Line is on Hold).  The first On Holds, there is no way for us to create a Picklist, for this is how it is designed. The 2nd and 3rd on hold, you still have the ability to create a picklist, you just need to clear or uncheck the box of the 'On Hold' status on the SO Header and line.

If you need more information on this, please create a case for Sage 500 Support.

    Hope that helps.

    thank you,

You define what actions can be taken with a credit hold in Set Up SO Options, and with the customer configuration in Maintain Customers. You can also apply an override if you have the rights to do so. It appears that @atdizon missed the credit hold, which is supported in the sales order schema but is based on the configuration. For example, you can increase the credit limit for the customer or deselect the "Apply Credit Limit" option. If this customer is part of a national account then the credit reconfiguration may need to be performed at the parent or by deselecting "Apply National Account Credit Limit'. From within Set Up SO Options, you choose when to check or recheck credit, as well as whether you want the system to automate credit hold release. If the automate option is not selected, the order may need to be released or acknowledged (order status also comes into play) manually.
