Project Accounting in 500 ERP 2016

Our company is in the manufacturing industry and we're currently using a heavily customized version of 7.3. We are looking to upgrade to 2016 and potentially re-implement the software altogether and strip away most of the customizations as they no longer apply to our business. PA is one of the heaviest customization options in our current configuration. We added project info to the work order header so that we could pull in labor entries from MF. What we are realizing is that there is no native integration between PA and MF in the out of the box configuration for 500 ERP, and that Timesheets is the time tracking component integrated with PA. 

I am open to feedback on the above statement and would also like to hear from other users:

  • What is your experience like with Timesheets/eTimesheets?
  • What other solutions have you looked into/evaluated/used for time tracking?
