You have to run the report from the UI, you can't run it directly from the desktop.

No, you're not.  You can't run it directly from the desktop.  Put the customized report into whatever is set up in Administrative Services/Customization Directories.

YOU CANNOT RUN THE REPORT DIRECTLY FROM THE SAGE DESKTOP.  Understand?

First, Jay is correct. You are not running the report from the Sage Tax Tracking report icon.  The way you are running the report, is like running it from the desktop.  You are modifying a standard report. 

Second, if you want to run your modified report and not loose the parameters, you must run it from the UI.  In this case, you have to use the "Tax Tracking" report icon.

As it sits in your customization folder, change the name back to the original i.e. TX6510.RPT.  When you run the Tax Tracking report, it will look in the customization folder for this report.

Hi Terry, to clarify  I am not expert that is why asking for help. The customization directory is setup and I renamed the report modified and placed it there, but still is running the regular one when I click on the icon, is something that I am missing? inclusive just to test I renamed the original one on the original folder accpac directory install to see if then goes to the Customized directory and simple give me an error file not found. So I am sorry where I am making the mistake?  

The custom report needs the same exact name, just in a different folder.

The original report was found in the ENG folder.  Put the report in TX65A\ENG and then try running.

Ok just to explain better, this is our set up:

ok the original install directory is : C:\ACCPAC\TX65A\ENG\TX6510.rpt  then I do have 

Z:\Reports55\Espana\TX65A\TX6510.rdp 

So I want to use the one that is in the customized report folder without to lose the original promp. I know if I change the report on the original install with the same name is going to work, but the thing here, we do have 9 different companies and I do no need to change it to all of them. 

 

Then you need to define 9 different customization folders, and make 9 copies of the report.

Your folder should be Z:\Reports55\Espana\TX65A\ENG\TX6510.rpt and as Jay said, you will need different custom folders for each company.

Z:\Reports55\Espana\

Z:\Reports55\country1

Z:\Reports55\country2

etc.
