if user locked out while creating entry, will the data autosaved or lost?

Hi all,

My customer wanted to implement a timeout and stricter controls and access for the users of Sage 300 desktop application. i.e. if idle for 15 minutes, the PC will sleep/shutdown/locked out.

The question is, will the data be autosaved or just lost?

Tell your customer a 15 minute timeout is a very stupid idea. The data will be lost.

we use a 20 min timeout for Sage and a 2 hour timeout for Windows. The sage one really helps reduce the demand on Lanpak users due to people logging in to check something small then walking away. But we have exceptions to that rule for Managers who frequently have to step away for meetings and such.
