Sage 300 2016 AP Invoice Batch Report Export to Excel encounter "Sage 300 UI Container has stopped working" error

These two weeks, we have two clients reported the similar issue as mentioned in subject above.

This morning, this Client A approached us for assistance.

She encounters the following error :

Client encounters the error msg when print preview certain AP Invoice Batches from AP Invoice Batch List screen. Not all batches will get the error msg. Other screens such as AR Invoice Batch List and AP Payment Batch List can be exported to excel without error during print preview.

Another thing to highlight is the error only occur when user select export to "Microsoft Excel 97-2003 (XLS)". The error msg prompted after browse to selected folder. Meanwhile, if user "export to PDF" or export to "Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Data-Only (XLS)" or "Microsoft Excel 2007 (XLSX) Data-Only", no such error msg.

Hence, client logon her Sage User ID will encounter the error msg, but using ADMIN login without any issue.

in fact, this client got the same error msg in mid of Nov 2018. We did create a new USER ID for her. After one and half month, the error msg came back.

This afternoon, we installed PU2, PU3 and PU5 respectively into client's server, which already have PU1. We did testing after successfully installed each product update. However, the error msg still there after installed PU5.

Temporary workaround solution is to get Client A using user ADMIN to export to excel (XLS).

Another Client B reported the same issue to us last week. Error msg only occur when user select export to "Microsoft Excel 97-2003 (XLS)". Our workaround solution for this Client B is temporary export to Excel with Data-Only.

Any ideas?
