Does it work if you launch Sage 300 with Run As Administrator?

Have tried Run As Administrator still doesnt work. Also have removed Sage workstation setup and also Excel 2010 and then reinstalled sage and also upgraded to Excel 2013 32bit but that also fails.

What about a local installation of the program files. Grasping at straws a little, as I've never seen what you describe. Or maybe you can add the Sage program files to Excel's Trust Center?

I can't see the screenshot you posted on this forum, only the email notification. Can you repost with higher resolution, perhaps? You should call Sage support about this issue.

Yes it worked on the day of the upgrade. 

Sage supports says the following but we cant  do that its month end works are near. 

We have encountered this issue before, reinstalling the windows and Sage 300 has solved the error.

Sounds a little extreme. But I guess it is worth trying, at least on one workstation to see if it does the trick.

Reinstalling windows and Sage 300 would put you back at square one, leaving you open to this issue returning again.

Here are some options you can try:

• Disable Excel security and test
• Disable Antivirus and test
• Check Add/Remove Programs to see if software was installed after the upgrade, then remove and test
• Check Windows Updates to see if any were installed after the upgrade, then remove and test
• Try running Workstation setup again - ensure account used to re-install Workstation Setup is a member of the Local Administrators group of the machine you are re-installing on, and right click setup.exe and choose Run as Administrator

Registry fix - Regedit

Locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Security\Filevalidation\

Create new key DWORD (32-bit) Value  , name it EnableOnLoad value = 0

Did above and it worked. Managed to put above on 5 client PC's who would use FR for running reports.

Glad it worked! Seems to have been security related. I wonder if there is a way to accomplish this in Options > Trust Center, rather than globally disabling file validation.
