No Repository Folder specified

SOLVED

Hello!

I'm looking for technical support for Sage Intelligence Report Utility for Sage 300, as Sage Tech Support is unable to provide any.

Sage 300 2019, Intelligence Reporting, Analysis, Connector, Viewer, Report Manager working perfectly.

Sage Intelligence Report Utility for Sage 300 fails with error "No Repository Folder specified."

Does anyone know what parameter or internal setting is causing this error.

Background details:  I had Sage 100 CRE with Intelligence Reporting installed at one point.  I have since uninstalled both.  I suspect this caused the problem.

I have uninstalled Sage 300 and Intelligence reporting, cleaned the registry, re-installed and still have this error.

This is a VM development environment on Windows 7.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

    Since nobody in this community has any ideas, can anyone provide Alchemex support contact details?

    Good Day,

    There could be two reasons why your Sage intelligence reporting is not working.

    1. Your installation of Sage 300 was not done correctly, Kindly contact Sage 300 for assistance with installation/guidelines.

    2. Please can you check if your SVD file is pointing to the correct path this could be causing the issue.You can open report manager and check the path that is should be pointing to as per screen shot in the link below. please note that your SVD path maybe different to the example.provided.

    Hi,

    The suggestions provided below are good suggestions. Make sure the repository is pointing to the proper shared folder.  Do you have 2 folders now from the reinstall?

    Thanks for your response.  However, I do not have an issue with Sage Intelligence reporting.

    As per my post above:

    "Sage 300 2019, Intelligence Reporting, Analysis, Connector, Viewer, Report Manager working perfectly.

    Sage Intelligence Report Utility for Sage 300 fails with error "No Repository Folder specified"."

    There is only one SVD file on my system, and it is being used properly by Intelligence Reporting for all functionality.

    I presume the issue is that Sage Intelligence Report Utility is not finding the svd file.

    No, there is only one repository folder and one metadata file.

    It appears that there is no support available for the Sage Intelligence Report Utility for Sage 300 through Sage, so I'll have to contact Alchemex on this... I see their website might offer some assistance Slight smile

    Thanks!

    After much searching through registries and system files, I located where Alchemex stores the location of the registry required for the Sage 300 Report Utility:   C:\Users\All Users\SageAlchemex\SageIntelligenceReporting\config.ini

    The installation of Sage 100 CRE Intelligence Reporting had overwritten this file with its repository folder.  Unfortunately un-installation and re-installation of Sage 300 did not re-overwrite this file.

    Modifying config.ini from:

    [Repository]
    Path=C:\Sage100IntellRepository

    to

    [Repository]
    Path=C:\SageData\BXDATA\SQL\
    resolved the issue.
