AccPac 5.5a Conversion/Upgrade

I'm IT and supporting a new company who are currently STILL running AccPac 5.5a.
What suggestions/options do we have in terms of upgrading to newer versions? Is Sage 300 the best one to aim for? Should they just go and migrate to QB or somehting
Do we have to move up one version at a time until we're fully caught up?

This is a very small mechanic shop and so AccPac 5.5a is perfect for them, they actually don't need anything different, but they need to upgrade because they're still using Win 7 and SBS2008.

Any solutions/options based on this current situation is appreciated.

Thanks.

  • Need to move them to version 5.6 then to the current version.

Sage 300 is Accpac renamed. Same program, some new features.

You can no longer upgrade once every ten years. Sage no longer sells perpetual licenses, only subscription licenses are available now. So once you upgrade, you will be locked in to paying annually to maintain access to the work in the program.

Talk with your Sage reseller to get pricing. (Prepare for sticker shock.)

If you don't have a Sage reseller, ask Sage or ask here. A local reseller is no longer needed, though I find it preferable. But since Sage 300 (Accpac) is used worldwide, you will want someone at least in your county.
