While trying to restore a SQL server backup for one of our Sage databases, the process returned a restore error. Upon research i found out that the DB may have been corrupted. What can be done to recover from this?

The other option is using DBCC CHECKDB, see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms176064.aspx. You have couple options, start with REPAIR_FAST and if that doesn't work you might need to go to REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS. Once the db is back together consider a DUMP and LOAD to a new database.
