Inventory error

Was closing out the year and the last process is Inventory Management.  Mas200.   Received an error IMWPAA...then it showed up again this past month closing out.

Anyone know what this is ?

I know it's an ancient version...

Thanks!

  • Going to have to be a little more specific that that. IMWPAA is just the program name that was running. Normally you will get an error # and a line no as well.

Out of curiosity I tried the knowledge base with just the program name and it returned nothing.  I would estimate your version to be no more than six years out of date (4.3 or earlier).   May not find any knowledgebase entries for this so it could be hit and miss.

yes, it's a very old system, 3.71. When I went into the error message detail, Error #16 Disc is full.

    Well ...

Based on the message, how much free space is on your hard drive for starters?

If that is not it, older versions of data files had an upper size limit. I think that an individual file had a maximum size of 2GB. Might have to purge some data files.

Normally when you get an error message, there is an INFO button you can click on and get more detailed information. If it is a maximum file size issue, likely it will indicate which data file it is.

I appreciate your quick responses. Most likely it's a free space issue and we are gearing up in a few months to upgrade our system (more like start over, it's so old). I'll pass the info along and thank you!

Definitely get you Sager 100 (MAS 90) upgraded. The danger of being so far out of date, is that you may eventually hit a problem that is difficult/impossible to resolve because of older information not being available or not being able to find people familiar with the older versions. 3.71 is a very different world from today's version.

Plus you are missing out on all sorts of new features that can make your life easier.

That's the goal for March, a new Sage system. We never had the upgrades, so it will be like a new install. Alot of work ahead but will be definitely worth it.

It is possible to upgrade from 3.7 to current versions, but there will be some recreation of forms and custom reports.
