Is it possible to export the security roles and user settings from any version of Sage but in particular from Sage Premium?

I need to re-migrate system settings during go live after a long pilot testing period. Multiple changes have been made in the source version since the pilot began. I was wondering if I can export the security roles and user settings from the upgraded version, then re-import after the migration. This particular migration is for Sage Premium 2016 to Premium 2019.

I don't think there's an option for this.

Almost everywhere in current versions of Sage 100 you can Export Data as follows although some may not work due to (Personally Identifiable Information(PII) security.

    1. In Role Maintenance or User Maintenance, select the Printer Icon.
    2. Select Type of Report to Print.
    3. In Printer selection list, select Data Only Export.
    4. Select Print.
    5. Select Format (ie csv, text) and Destination.
    6. Select OK twice
    7. Save the file in Destination.
    8. Open in applicable program.

Exporting isn't the real issue.  I've done a custom report off the raw data, and a direct table query is always possible, or the SY_RoleReport.rpt could be edited to export more nicely as row data.  The hard part is importing, which is currently not possible.

I would never recommend using SQL to copy this kind of data, so you are looking at manual re-entry of the role changes after the upgrade.
