PR_EmployeeDocuments table is encrypted and can't access fields in Crystal Report

SUGGESTED

v2019 Adv.  Customer would like a Crystal report showing what email address is set up in Employee Maintenance/Paperless for Electronic Delivery.  It may/may not be the same as the Email that is on the Employee Header.  The PR_EmployeeDocuments.m4t is an encrypted table.  I used the Pr_Employee, PR_EmployeePIIWrk & PR_EmployeeDocuments tables, added the report to the menu and set about creating the report.  I found the Email Address in PR_EmployeeDocuments will not pull into the report (comes up blank). The PR_EmployeePIIWrk table does not include any fields from the PR_EmployeeDocuments table.  How can I access the encrypted fields in PR_EmployeeDocuments in a Crystal Report.  Seems like Sage forgot about these fields in creating the PII Table.  Ideas?

On a side note: At time of migration/conversion from v2016 to v2019, the data all came over and did not encrypt during conversion.  However, any modification/update to the record (employee changes emails or creation of electronic delivery record) after the conversion is now encrypted.

Thank you

Nancy

Ouch.  I've believe I have created that same kind of report for a client and hadn't had any trouble.  Just tested on my own system and saw exactly what you were referring to.  E-mail was visible until I edited the record.  Disappointed

As a temporary workaround you might be able to extract the info from PR_EmployeePDF log?  Not really an ideal solution but it might get you somewhere.

    Greetings,

We have added this to our backlog for correction in a future Sage 100 / Payroll release.  We will need to provide the ability to add the encrypted data from PR_EmployeeDocuments to custom reports.  We will also look at correcting the conversion logic so that the table is appropriately encrypted during conversion.

At this time, I am not able to give you a target release when this will be corrected.

    Thank you,
