Does anyone know if you can use Task Scheduler to export a Standard Report to Excel in place of printing? I don't see any way of picking anything but a printer.
Thanks

Other options:
Visual Cut (less expensive than SA&W and easily capable of producing such a file on a schedule).
VBScript an ODBC query, with CSV as output.
Here is a post with an example of exporting a report using BOI (Business Object Interface). Doing it this way gives you multiple output options.
If all you need is item code and quantity available you don't need a report. Sage Intelligence, Excel or Access can do that a lot easier and probably faster.
That is not really possible. Standard reports have to be manually printed as there are normally selection criteria. You best option would be to PULL the data with either Excel or Access. Which report were you talking about.
They need item code and quantity available so I was going to create a custom form code for the Stock Status report. They need to provide Amazon with the quantity available at least once, if not more times, per day. I had thought about a VI export, but not all the fields in the IM_ItemWarehouse are available. I was wondering about the Excel to Access, but didn't know if it could be scheduled. The other option is Alerts & Workflow but that would be an out of pocket cost. Thanks for your input.

The Sage Intelligence can use the Windows Task Scheduler.

Kent,
I can probably replace my stock status report name, criteria, etc., in your script. However, I have never used scripts before so my question is where would save/run it from? Can this be scheduled?
Thanks for your help,
Suzanne.
Suzanne,
If this is a workable solution for you but you haven't done scripting in Sage 100 then please take the object interface training class before proceeding. This is a recorded class and is available from Sage Learning Services. It will give you a good introduction to Business Object Interface Scripting.
You can create your script and save it almost anywhere you like. I would suggest somewhere on the server that is running Sage 100. This can be automated in a few ways. The simplest would be through Windows Task Scheduler.
Thanks,
Kent
