Trying to create a VI job to create production entries.  Have some items that sell only a few each, but when you add the group up it is 100 entries for 747 sales.

Want to automate the production entry.  Nothing is lot numbered or consumes lot numbered items if that simplifies the task.  Does anybody have a vi job they can share so I can use it as a template for what I need?

Are you building off a summary list of what's required per item, or building on the fly off of picking sheets (preparing to ship)?

If you are building on the fly as you ship, you might want to consider avoiding the production entry entirely (and exploding the components).

We are building and shipping the goods, thus consuming the raw goods and labor.

But they are in small quantities so we are hoping to do a monthly production entry to bring the on hand finished inventory back upto zero and reduce the raw goods.  I have a seperate job exporting the items needing to be produced by sage item number and quantity.  It unfortunatly does not know the raw goods consumed.  I was hoping to be able to avoid having to build a subsystem to export the items to be made.  Export the bom detail and then combine the two and create a detailed file of production entry job #, item to be produced, item consumed, quantity consumed.

Even if I do that will Sage allow me create the bom production entry from a file.

Have the quantities in your Bill recipes, and include revision in your import.

A 3 column input file, with the above VI job, created this entry.
