Bin locations not properly syncing between Item Management and Physical Count Entry

SOLVED

Hello,

We've recently started populating our Bin Location from within Reorder Maintenance in order to start utilizing the Physical Count Entry screen sorting by Bin Location. The locations do not seem to sync properly between the two panels though.

For instance, here is an item with a location within Reorder Maintenance:

But that same item in Physical Count Entry has no bin location:

This holds true for every item that we have assigned a bin location through Reorder Maintenance. Any thoughts?

It seems to work as expected on my 2018 system without any third party multi-bin solutions.

Regardless, if you don't have a third party multi-bin solution then the bin location in the stock Sage 100 product is really just for informational purposes and won't affect transactions anyway.

A couple things you can check is to see if you have either DSD or Scanco's multi-bin installed but not properly configured for the warehouse or product line.  Another would be to make sure the bin location was populated before freezing the item.  If you suspect the item was frozen before the bin location was populated, you can clear the frozen item/s and then try to add them again manually with Physical Count Entry or try freezing them using the Physical Count Worksheet.

You may want to include your version along with any other third party solutions you have installed in your reply.

Just confirming you changed the Bin Location BEFORE freezing your inventory?

Yes we did, inventory is not frozen. Do we have to freeze inventory for it to update?

We have no third party solutions installed. Do you have to freeze inventory for the locations to successfully update them? We are trying to use bin location search function within physical count entry.

Our version is Sage 100 Cloud Advanced 2019 Version 6.10.5.0

Your screen shot of Physical Count Entry indicates that inventory IS frozen.  Freezing inventory creates the records in Physical Count Entry with a copy of the current QOH.  If inventory is NOT frozen, then Physical Count Entry is blank.

So I am going to suggest that you go to Physical Count Worksheet and choose the UNFREEZE Inventory option, then freeze it again and see if you now have Bins.
