As far as I am aware, filters implemented in Crystal Reports are unknowable to the Sage programming that produces the PDFs. 

If that is the problem, use the printing screen's selection / include options instead of building your custom logic into the report.

that is the problem... when you are selecting the Zero Balance Customers (check box) and the Zero Balance invoices = current month only... that is where this is broken.  

It should work the same for printing and paperless.  

Selection criteria will not address this issue.

Dawn and Kevin, we have researched and do see the behavior difference when printing to Paperless PDFs vs. printing.  Before I give you the results of that research and our intentions, let me ask you which behavior do you think is correct and should be consistent with both?  Is the current paperless output correct, or is the the current print or preview correct?

The current print / preview is correct.

We still haven't heard anything more on this issue and my client is asking again when they can expect the fix.  This worked before we upgraded them to Sage 2020.!!

Still not fixed in 2022 version this is really bad for customers who do statements with those boxes checked and now still not fixed after 2 versions (and any patches or hot fixes)... not very good customer relations.
